Hello, my name is Sheila.
I have over a decade of experience in the fitness industry and am committed to providing a unique service to my clients. My specialty lies in functional strength & conditioning Pilates, along with stress management & relaxation therapy. I relocated to Castlerea in September 2019 and opened The Workshop studio on November 1st of that year.
Despite the challenges brought on by Covid, it gave me the chance to reassess how I wanted to run my studio and offer services that cater to my new community.
I enhanced my Pilates practice during the Covid era completed my 200-hour YOGA (RYT), and was certified to teach Chi Me, a Tai Chi-inspired fitness program with numerous benefits.
I aim to create a safe and welcoming space where individuals of all fitness levels, body shapes, ages, and backgrounds can feel comfortable secure, and at ease mind and body. And of course, enjoy the experience, have a giggle, and relax.
I provide a range of Pilates/Yoga classes tailored to various fitness levels, from gentle to intense, in addition to Step FITMIX™, LeanLift™, Senior Strong™, and Men on Mats.
My enthusiasm for my profession comes from the amazing individuals I work with.
When I'm not working, I am a committed runner who began taking running seriously in 2012 after making significant lifestyle changes. I ran my first marathon at 49 and joined the UK & Ireland 100 Marathon Clubs in 2017.
Since then, I have developed a passion for trail running and ultra distances, completing 6 100-mile races. Now at 60 years old, I am looking forward to tackling more challenges and races in the years to come.
Walking and hiking are two of my greatest passions. I have a strong affection for the Camino De Santiago and have successfully walked the Camino Frances, Camino Portuguese, and Camino Ingles. At the moment, I am busy preparing and guiding a group of 12 incredible women to trek the last 125km of the Camino Frances in April 2025. The group consists of women aged between 40 and 80, and I am thrilled to be part of this adventure with them.
